Who We Are

Our federation is a non-governmental organization working on a non-profit basis. It was constituted in Switzerland under the laws of the Geneva canton, under their statutes and the articles 60 and the relevant clauses of the civil code.

Our objective is to further free zones around the world and to help them to develop, especially in emergent countries and countries in transition.

Our functions are to offer experience, to issue norms, rules and processes, to train professionals and to assist with technical, juridical and economic support.

Our methods to get these objectives and further these functions are based on the promotion of conferences and workshops, the maintenance of a constant line of communication with and among our members, as well as regular meetings with international institutions and financial, social and environmental institutions.
Internal Organization: Femoza is managed according to the agreements of the General Assembly and of its Executive Committee.

What We Do

WE SUPPORT

Free zones around the world, helping them to set up, to develop, and to grow.

WE GATHER

Free zones, according to their different areas or their denomination, such as export processing zones (EPZS), industry, trade, services, tourism, logistics, free port, bonded warehouse, etc., the goal is to share experience, as well as information and technology.

WE PROTECT

Free zones so that they keep revitalizing the economy. We study changes in international law which may affect or restrict Free Zone operations.

How We Do This

TRAINING

• With training schemes, technical consultancy, help schemes, providing the know-how necessary for their development, organizing educational programmes among the member free zones, either directly or by agreement with other institutions.

INFORMATION

• Our own database and access to other international databases Periodical information bulletins.

SHARING EXPERIENCE

• Promoting internships and employees exchange programmes in order to acquire experience and the free trade zones operational management.
• Organizing lectures and workshops.

REINFORCING

• The option of free zone in the presence of international organizations by attending mee tings and economic debates.
• By transference of technology in agreement between user companies.
• Raising the industrial and labour level with training programmes with the support and help given by international organizations, based in Geneva and keeping a permanent personal contact with them.
